America is on an unsustainable economic course, and we are rapidly approaching the point of no return.

Unless our Congressional leaders make radical changes to get federal spending under control, it will soon become mathematically impossible for our nation to avoid a financial crisis.

Seventy-six years of overspending by both Democrats and Republicans has created the current fiscal crisis. Now, with the addition of unprecedented spending in 2009, the timeline for economic collapse has shifted drastically forward. It is no longer just a problem for your children or grandchildren — it is now about you!

In 1775, Paul Revere and other midnight riders sought to alert American patriots to an impending attack by the British. Today, we need to awaken a new generation of patriots—financial patriots—to stand up and defend our great nation against impending financial demise. The time to act is now, before it’s too late.

When are we going to wake up, stand up, and boldly proclaim—without fear—that our nation is on an unsustainable course? As citizens, why are we sitting in our homes passively allowing Congress to keep our nation on an unsustainable course that will end in destruction?

The answers are obvious:

1. We don’t really believe our nation is headed for disaster.
2. We don’t really believe we can do anything to change the direction.
3. We don’t want to invest any of our resources or time.
4. We have cognitive dissonance.
5. We think someone else will do the job.

All of the above answers are unacceptable!

As citizens of the United States of America, we need to take personal responsibility for the direction of our nation, and we need to join together as a movement of volunteers to bring about change before we reach the point of no return.
